Champion Specialty Services LLC (CSS) completed a Nuclear Quality Assurance Survey at our Alpharetta, GA location, and as a result; CSS has received the NR Stamp of Authorization (NR Stamp) from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI). The NR Stamp is a symbol recognizing Champion’s nuclear-quality welding program and authorizes Champion to perform repairs, modifications, or replacements of nuclear components. Champion joins an elite group of fewer than 30 current suppliers and service providers to achieve the NR Accreditation. This extensive process requires Champion to maintain a compliant ASME section IX Welding Program:
Founded in 1919, NBBI’s mission is to reduce the risk to life and property by promoting safety in the construction, installation, operation, overpressure protection, and repair and alteration of boilers, pressure vessels and other pressure-retaining items.
Although scheduled shutdowns or unplanned outages for nuclear systems, structures, or components are challenging environments, Champion possesses the experience to incorporate Nuclear Welding Services for these rigorous conditions and critical path activities.
