On October 11, 2023, Engineering News Record (ENR), one of the global construction industry’s most prestigious publications, posted its Top 600 Specialty Contractors ranking for 2023. Each year ENR conducts an annual survey that assesses US-based companies by major market categories, both regionally and nationally. The rankings that result are based on category-specific revenue for the prior year. Firms listed on the Top 600 list are generally considered among the best in the business.
Champion is proud to have placed among ENR’s 2023 Top 600 Specialty Construction Firms in the following categories:
This overall ranking validates Champion’s mission to achieve the highest safety and quality standards when deploying its specialty services teams and equipment to build, repair, and maintain facilities across industries and complex environments. Providing a superior level of predictable and reliable customer service is also part of Champion’s DNA.
Champion provides the personnel, tools, and options to handle coating projects from corrosion control to commercial decoration. This core construction industry service is expertly delivered to many markets–safely, on time, and within budget, all while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

This was not the first time Champion has appeared on ENR’s Top 600 List, though 2023 marks its highest-ranked position, having moved up an impressive 80+ levels from last year’s 290 spot.
Said Champion Chief Operations Officer Kyle Hough: “We are proud to find our ENR Specialty Services ranking on the rise. Our continued growth and success is due to our commitment to providing the safest, highest quality products and services, the strong relationships we maintain with our customers and partners, and of course, the talent and hard work of our teams.”
Along with the Top 600 rankings, ENR noted that while the specialty market has significantly bounced back following the worst of the pandemic delays, current challenges still exist due to rising interest rates and, for some organizations, a continued shortage of skilled workers. Champion appreciates its strong market position and the unique nature of its company culture, which recognizes that its field employees are its strongest and least replaceable asset.
